These
are 2 methods:
1. POP accounts - Outlook Express - Microsoft Outlook
2. Email default
1. POP accounts
(use your domain name in place of test.com)
Step 1. Login to your sites control panel (http://www.test.com/cp/)
Step 2. Click the Email link.
Step 3. Scroll Down click ‘Add new mail resource’
Step 4. Select Mailbox from drop down menu then click Next.
Step 5. Type in a name for the account eg info (@test.com will be added)
Step 6. Enter a password for the account Click Submit.
The account created doubles as your email username. Write down your username
and your password as you will need these when you create the account on your
PC.
What do I do now?
You
will need to enter these details into your email program. And use the
username and password that you wrote down.
Outlook
Express:
Open
Outlook Express
Click Tools/Accounts
Click ADD/Mail
Type in the name you would like to appear on outgoing messages from this
account
Click Next
Type in the email address eg.info@test.com
Click Next
Incoming mail server POP3
Incoming mail: mail.test.com
Outgoing mail: smtp.(your isp) eg.smtp.optusnet.com
Click Next
Account name: info@test.co.nz
Password: test21
Click Next
Click Finish

Open
Microsoft Outlook
Click Tools/Email account
Check the Add Email Account option
Click Next
Check POP3 option
Click Next
Type in a Name (This is what will appear on all outgoing messages from this
account)
Type in the email address eg.
info@test.co.nz
Incoming mail server: mail.test.co.nz
Outgoing mail server: smtp.(your isp)
Username:
info@test.co.nz
Password: test21
Click Test Account to send test
Click Next
Click Finish

Email default (Catchall,
Wildcard)
We ask that you use an ISP (Internet Service Provider) email address for
this as this is an address where all of the email for the domain name can be
defaulted or redirected to.
Step 1. Login to your sites control panel (http://www.test.com/cp/)
Step 2. Click the Email link.
Step 3. Scroll Down click ‘Add new mail resource’
Step 4. Select Mail Forward from drop down menu then click Next.
Step 5. Enter local address: postmaster (@test.com will be added)
Step 6. Enter remote address (your ISP email address in full), click Submit.

Form Mail
If you want to use the free form mail service (Matts Script) firstly the
Form Mail facility needs to be activated.
Login to your sites control panel.
Scroll down the page.
On the right beneath CGI-Wizard click Form Mail.
Next click the OFF button (this will activate the form mail script)
Our servers have been configured for Matts Script this way, so your Form
Action tags will need to reflect the following (use your domain name in
place of test.com).

FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
You can "FTP" into your account and upload the files for your
website.
For this you will need a FTP program. We recommend:
Cuteftp -
www.cuteftp.com
BulletProof FTP -
www.bpftp.com (30 day trial available)
FTP Commander -
www.internet-soft.com/download.htm (freeware)
To FTP
to your hosting shell do this:
Open your FTP program
Name: test.com
Server (Host) Name: web.paulbarr.net
Username: (as provided by us)
Password: (as provided by us)

Microsoft Frontpage
(use your domain name in place of test.com)
When you have created your site in Frontpage you will need to enable
frontpage extensions on the server. Do the following:
Login to your sites control panel (http://www.test.com/cp/)
Under WebServer click Frontpage
Click the OFF button (this will activate it)
It will ask you for a Username/Password (use your control panel logins for
this.)
Click submit (you may experience a delay please be patient as the server
updates in real time)
The next screen will show and if there is a link Apply click it and this
will ensure it is Active, if not then extensions have installed
successfully.
Publish your web site using Microsoft Frontpage 2000

1) Connect your computer to the Internet
2) Start Microsoft FrontPage and open your site
3) Select from the FILE menu, PUBLISH WEB
4) Enter http://test.com click Next
5) Enter Name "username"
6) Enter Password "password" click Next
7) If you see a folder test.com double click it to open it
8) Click on PUBLISH button

2) Start FrontPage Explorer and open your site
3) Select from the FILE menu, PUBLISH FRONTPAGE WEB
4) Click on MORE WEBS button
5) Type "test.com"
6) Click on OK button
7) Enter Name "Username"
8) Enter Password "password"
